KRISTIN ANDREASSEN is a diverse musician who’s toured three continents, playing festival stages as big as Bonnaroo, living rooms smaller than a train car, and everything in between. She got her start as a clogger with Maryland’s Footworks Percussive Dance Ensemble, then joined the old time stringband Uncle Earl on guitar. The influence of traditional music is still strong in Kristin’s own writing. Her catchy song “Crayola Doesn’t Make a Color for Your Eyes,” which opens her solo album Kiss Me Hello, was inspired by an old-fashioned pattycake rhythm. For the more delicate and personal side of Kristin’s songwriting, seek out her “folk noir” trio Sometymes Why. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Kristin now lives in Brooklyn, New York.
JON NEUFELD is an American musician. He plays with the bands Black Prairie, Jackstraw, Kung Pao Chickens and, until recently, Dolorean. He also plays with singer-songwriters Martha Scanlan and Garrett Brennan. Neufeld is best known for his versatile guitar playing. As Dan Miller of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine wrote, “Jon Neufeld is one of those guitar players that defies any type of categorization or description of style because he can do it all.” Hence his range from bluegrass to gypsy jazz, folk to rock. Jon Neufeld was born on the south side of Chicago, Illinois and has lived in Portland, Oregon since 1997.
As a member of Punch Brothers since the band’s inception, guitarist CHRIS ELDRIDGE has been at the vanguard of acoustic music for much of the past decade. Chris gained in-depth exposure to a variety of different musical styles while studying at Oberlin Conservatory, where he earned a degree in music performance in 2004. After graduating he joined the Seldom Scene with whom he received a Grammy nomination in 2007. In 2005 he founded the critically acclaimed bluegrass band The Infamous Stringdusters. His band Punch Brothers has released 3 critically acclaimed albums, received 2 Grammy nominations and toured around the world.
