Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks

Genre: Humour, Roots, Singer Songwriter

“Twin Peaks is poised to become one of the most interesting and dynamic faces of British Columbia folk, and Canadian music in general.”
Jesse Cole, Caledonia Courier

Rich harmonies, a piano, a guitar, two ukuleles and unlimited wit are at the heart of Twin Peaks – an emerging folk/roots with undertones of classic country and contemporary roots. Naomi Shore and Lindsay Pratt – although very diverse in their musical histories – have successfully combined individual experiences into a unique blend of genres. It is eclectic, creative and clever. Born and raised in the northern BC city of Fort St. John, their music reflects small town wisdom with lively humour and songs that immediately capture an audience.

“They take traditional country and pass it through a modern indie folk filter, coming up with a sound that really is all their own.”
Mark Anthony Brennan, BC Musician Magazine

Lindsay and Naomi’s onstage chemistry is totally infectious. They provide their audience with the whole meal deal: undeniably catchy tunes, adorable eye candy and a good laugh. They manage to combine all of these attributes into a genuinely endearing act.

“Heavenly harmonies and – between songs – banter that can border on the hellishly humorous. Those are the peaks of listening to Twin Peaks. And listen you must!”
Gordon Sinclair Jr., Winnipeg Free Press

Over a span of only four years the duo have covered a lot of ground. They have released two albums, their Self Titled EP (2012) and their full length album Trouble (2014). Extensive touring has brought the duo all over Western Canada. In 2012 the band made the top ten for CBC Radio 3’s contest Tracks on Tracks, and in 2014 the group rose to the national finals in the CBC Searchlight contest. They’ve taken home a Vancouver Island Music Award for BC Wide Artist of the Year, and both albums have been nominated for Western Canadian Music Awards. Most recently the Twin Peaks full length album, Trouble, won the Western Canadian Music Award for Roots Duo/Group Recording of the Year! The duo is proud to have shared the stage with some amazing acts such as Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra, Del Barber and Ariana Gillis.

“Go see them in an intimate performance while you can, once the word gets out about this talented young duo you’ll wish you had. Go see them!”
Doug Cox, Artistic Director – Vancouver Island Music Fest
