Ian Foster in Peace River, AB: Monday October 17

Ian Foster is a musician and filmmaker from St. John’s, Newfoundland. A MusicNL and ECMA award winner, he has toured internationally since 2006, playing festivals, halls and house concerts all over the world. CBC’s Bob Mersereau described him as being “a fine example of what a 21st century folk performer should be doing.”
His score work has appeared in films like Hand.Line.Cod, which premiered at TIFF, and his last short Keystone, was named one of the top ten shorts of the year by the Calgary International Film Festival. In 2022, he has been releasing work from his album and short film ‘Close to the Bone,’ a mixed media project that has been touring film festivals and will be available publicly soon.
