That is me on the right with my fiddle. You may come to find that I play most instruments in a way they were not intended. Also, I have no idea who said that quote, but it will stick with me forever. It reminds me that it is important to sleep and eat and exercise so my creativity can have a healthy body to use, almost as if my music isn’t fundamentally mine. I am spiritual I suppose…..Anyhoo, my musical gifts are to be shared and the thing that brings me the most joy is the opportunity to share music with you. As you scroll down you will be introduced to my main duo, Abby-Jade.
I’d like you to meet Alanna Hunter one of the most amazing human beings I know. She’s there in the picture on the left. Not only does she put up with me, she makes me a better human too! We met in her first year at Brandon University School of Music and it was instant friendship. We have had so many amazing experiences and adventures in the past five years we have been friends, looking back, it’s honestly incredible how much we’ve grown together. Our musical journey began a few years ago when we took the train (VIA Rail) to her home town, Richmond BC, and we spent many hours playing music for the other passengers on the train. It was one of the most glorious experiences of my life.
Last year we met our guardian angel, Blaine Klippenstein, who encouraged and gave us the time and space in his Artist Sanctuary to keep developing ourselves and our music. He is the reason why we have our duo, Abby-Jade.
