Genre: Americana
Katie Moore’s music lays its hat on the hooks between Americana, folk and country. Her 2015 album Fooled by the Fun was hailed by No Depression as “one of the strongest Americana releases by a Canadian this year,” while her 2018 song “Tip Jar,” which she recorded with the band El Coyote, was praised by Tom Power of CBC Q for its songwriting and for being his “new favourite song.” Katie’s live performance weaves her persuasively simple originals with vintage folk/country through her singular voice and a focus on tone and harmony.
