Born into Manitoba’s Icelandic community, Lindy Vopnfjörd’s musical journey began early, shaped by his cultural heritage and musician parents. At age four, he was already performing songs with messages of peace. Touring with his family, he developed a deep appreciation for music as a form of sharing and connection. Lindy’s career spans seven albums, captivating audiences from intimate house shows to large festivals like Osheaga and Winnipeg Folk Festival. His talents extend from his West Coast band Northern Junk to Toronto’s indie rock group Major Maker, earning critical acclaim and commercial success with memorable singles like “Lover/Sister.”
