Join us in presenting live acoustic music concerts to communities across Canada

Since 2007, Home Routes has collaborated closely with dedicated volunteers who are passionate about fostering community connections through music. It is more than concerts; it’s about cultivating intimate, warm spaces where artists and audiences connect on a personal level. Together, we’ve welcomed friends, neighbours, colleagues, and the public to enjoy over 800 concerts annually across Canada. The commitment and enthusiasm of our hosts have been instrumental in creating these unforgettable experiences.

Home Routes welcomes inquiries from enthusiastic individuals who wish to host acoustic concerts in their communities. The ideal concert venue should comfortably accommodate at least 30 people and be able to host six shows throughout the season. Host communities are responsible for providing touring artists with accommodations and meals during their stay.

We work closely with hosts to coordinate, organize & market concerts within their communities.

Your Space, Our Stage:

Transform your living room or community space into a stage for extraordinary musical performances. Host a Home Routes/Chemin Chez Nous concert series and be a part of a nationwide community celebration.

Discover New Music

If you like discovering new music, Home Routes / Chemin Chez Nous artists span a wide range of folk music genres and styles from around the globe.

Nuture Community Spirit

Home Routes shows are welcoming gatherings that are family-friendly and appropriate for all ages, and promise new musical experiences! Invite friends, neighbours, work colleagues, and the general public to attend, or volunteer.

Build Partnerships

Home Routes shows attract people who care about their community, and want to see it develop. The more local stakeholders involved in each event, the more successful they will be. We work with hosts to find individuals & organizations seeking to uplift to their community’s culture by sponsoring artists’ to perform additional outreach events such as in schools and retirement homes.

Host The Artists

Home Routes/Chemin Chez Nous artists stay and eat with the hosts, saving them hotel and meal costs. This has been one of the most important aspects of hosting for Home Routes/Chemin Chez Nous. It’s an opportunity to meet and host some of our most creative Canadians, and a way for you to create lasting memories for yourself, your friends and family, and for the artists passing through.

Testimonials

The benefits are numerous with no downside. Musicians benefit financially and professionally, audiences are exposed to a variety of music and musicians, the concerts are affordable and they build goodwill and better friendships in the community and throughout Canada. I have had the honour of hosting musicians from all parts of Canada and have gained a new appreciation of this great country through their songs and tales. Home Routes promotes Canadian music and makes live music more accessible to more of us. I wholeheartedly support this initiative and hope to see its reach expanded in years to come.

Linda, Home Routes Presenter

We have been hosting for 7 years and by far our favourite part of the process has been getting to know the artists. We have made some great friends and had some unique experiences thanks to Home Routes.

Donalee Jones

Becoming a Homes Routes host this year has helped us to reinvigorate a struggling music scene in our city, and weave new connections between artists, cultural and heritage organizations, and people who are passionate about supporting a vibrant culture. Friendly, informal house concerts and community potlucks have provided a welcoming place for music lovers to build new friendships and find a sense of belonging, while also supporting intergenerational connections and cultural sharing.

Laura Enns

We are always impressed by the quality of the music and the connection the artists make with those that come to the concerts. Having these opportunities for great live music in little towns is no small thing.
