A Month of Sundays – James Keelaghan

Proudly presented by Home Routes: A Month Of Sundays, with James Keelaghan, each Sunday in February 2022 at 3pm ET.  Purchase your front row screen seat here. The show will be hosted safely and securely via ZOOM and includes a Q & A after session with the artists.

Taking inspiration from his friend, Lynn Miles, James will be performing a series of 4 live streamed shows from his home in Perth, ON to your home.

About the shows:

“Let’s face it, February is the Wednesday of months! I’m going to try my best to make it more bearable. Each show will be different. I am going to play tunes from across the entire repertoire, no repeats. I’ll also be taking a deeper dive into some of the history behind the songs, road memoirs, book recommendations and a look into how songs grow from the murky interior of my mind into actual hummable melodies. We’re still not able to tour up here in Canada, and I realized it’s been quite some time since I streamed online, so I’m really looking forward to reconnecting.” – James Keelaghan

TICKETS: Sliding scale, starting at $15 CAD, or $50 for a series pass. All ages are welcome. Show takes place on Zoom, safely and securely. All tickets are plus GST & service fees.

About the artist:

James Keelaghan is one of the most respected and engaging songwriters in Canada and one of the best accompanists on the planet in a duo performance that delivers the goods. 13 CD’s, appearances on the mainstages of festivals from Europe to Australia, James Keelaghan enters the fourth decade of his career in top form. His songs have become folk classics, not only recorded by other artists, but sung around campfires, at jam sessions and open stages. His ability of turning historical events into moving songs is unmatched. Rich imagery and a keen eye for narrative have caused some to say that his songs are like  5 minute films–close your eyes and you can feel the heat of a raging forest fire, see a piano sacrificed to the sea in order to maintain dignity, taste the whiskey from an obscure Northern Irish bar. Then there is the voice, strong as an oak, soft as velvet, as reassuring as a hug from a close friend. James Keelaghan is a Canadian national treasure.
