gangspil

Gangspil, featuring Sonnich Lydom and Kristian Bugge, two of Denmark’s finest folk musicians, offers a vibrant journey through the musical traditions of their homeland. They perform lively, authentic tunes from rural islands like Læsø to the bustling streets of Copenhagen, blending traditional Danish dance music with their own compositions. Audiences can expect everything from energetic polkas and fiery reels to lyrical waltzes and the unique “Sønderhoning” from Fanø island. With over 200 North American performances since 2015 and a Tradition Award from the Danish Music Awards, Gangspil delivers an unforgettable live experience rich in humour and stories.
