Jay Gilday
Drawing from his half-Dene, half-Irish background, Jay Gilday’s music is a powerful blend of spiritual songs and Irish ballads. Raised in a family of accomplished musicians in the Canadian Shield outside of Yellowknife, his music weaves Canadian folk and personal experiences throughout his songwriting. At the heart of the experience is that raw and unfettered sincerity—a talent that delivers with a torrent of harmonic, electric blues as he explores the depth of the choices we make with our lives in a uniquely personal way. Gilday’s arresting voice and authenticity have earned him a reputation as one of the great sirens of the Canadian north.
