taylor abrahamse

Taylor Abrahamse seamlessly blends music, humour, and versatility in his performances, describing himself as a cross between Jim Carrey and Paul Simon. From his start as an Elvis impersonator at the age of five, to a diverse acting career—not to mention his stint as a finalist on Canadian Idol at the age of sixteen— Taylor’s ethos has been one of playfulness.

Abrahamse’s debut studio album, released in 2020, combines classic ’70s songwriting with a contemporary perspective to exploring themes of activism, depression, and gender identity—topics which he continues to explore through his most recent releases.

Taylor has also ventured into the world of musicals and collaborates with established hitmakers, including Hawksley Workman, Max Parker, The Accidentals, Nice Horse, and others. His music has graced film and TV projects, and he shares his expertise by teaching songwriting and animated voice acting.
