Since 2007, Home Routes/Chemin Chez Nous, has served as the bridge between artists and audiences, curating spaces where music truly comes alive, fostering genuine connections, and creating moments that resonate long after the last note fades away. Join us in redefining the way you experience music – together, as a community.
Artist Empowerment: We strive to empower musicians by fostering their career growth, cultivating dedicated audiences, and driving dynamic market development, ensuring a vibrant future for all active participants in the music industry.
Why apply to perform on a Home Routes Tour?
Home Routes/ Chemin Chez Nous curates and schedules regional touring circuits as part of a 6-concert artistic season, from October through May, for acoustic solo & duo artists (occasionally we can accomodate a trio).
We partner with community volunteers who host and collaborate with us providing the venue while partnering with marketing. This provides artists a platform to engage with diverse audiences in a more personal manner, while exploring the beauty of Canada.
Our hosts offer accommodation, dinner and breakfast, based an artist needs, creating a memorable experience in every location and reducing touring expenses for artists.
Our tours feature 10-14 concerts in a two-week period in homes and intimate community spaces within a specific region.
We compile comprehensive tour books for artists, including tour routing, contact information, and schedules. Additionally, we handle SOCAN performance royalty requirements on behalf of the artists.
Whether you’re filling an empty calendar slot, building a longer tour around a solid two-week anchor, testing new material in intimate settings, or just starting your career, we encourage you to apply. We value talent and enthusiasm for connecting with communities over metrics like spins, sales or followers.
Testimonials
I’m truly loving every second, I hope I get to do this again! These smaller, unplugged gigs are a lovely chance to meet people and have an intimate show. Having the best time. It really is an amazing thing! Just great!
Whenever I tour this way I learn SO MUCH about people, and how to put on a strong solo show. It’s singlehandedly responsible for me being a much better performer… I think Home Routes is the greatest friend to artists, audiences and Canada – EVER!!! Hear applause!
Home Routes was my introduction to touring. The first times packing my car and venturing out to places where me and my music were unknown, I was always somewhat wary because so many of my friends came back from the road with stories of rough bars and not the best living conditions – sometimes no living conditions at all! The beauty of Home Routes is the audience is so appreciative and supportive. Playing two full sets for a house of people is incredible. You can feel the response without amplification and you’re not fighting anyone in the room for your place. The hospitality is the real treat. Time spent with music lovers who cook real meals and open their homes as a haven of rest. It’s a beautiful journey. Home Routes is a treasure and tremendous support in keeping live music thriving and artists driving!
